Vyn Drax was born in the heart of Ashen, where survival was a brutal game of wit and strength. Her childhood was shaped by hardship—her parents were victims of a factory collapse orchestrated by Neo-Osiris to cover up illegal operations. Orphaned and embittered, Vyn survived by scavenging toxic runoff from Ashen’s industrial zones, unknowingly exposing herself to residual magic from discarded Luminara tech. Over time, this exposure awakened a dangerous and rare affinity: control over acid.

Vyn’s acid magic is both a gift and a curse. She can corrode materials, dissolve barriers, and even weaponize her powers in combat, but prolonged use harms her body, causing burning pain and scarring. Despite these limitations, Vyn honed her abilities, learning to manipulate her magic with deadly precision. Her resilience and unyielding nature caught the attention of Rhea Calder ("Forge"), who saw in Vyn a kindred spirit and a powerful ally for The Rebellion.

As Rhea’s right hand, "Toxin" has become an essential figure in the fight against Neo-Osiris and the Government. She is the enforcer, the one sent to execute missions too dangerous or morally gray for others. Her caustic wit and fierce loyalty to Rhea have earned her respect among the Rebellion’s ranks, but her relentless pursuit of vengeance often puts her at odds with those seeking a more measured approach.

Beneath her hardened exterior lies a deep-seated fear of losing herself entirely to the destructive nature of her magic. Vyn clings to the hope that the secrets of Luminara might one day offer her a cure—or at least an understanding of the force she wields. Until then, Toxin remains a force to be reckoned with, her acid magic carving a path of resistance through the oppression of Ashen.
